Welcome Messages
When users first log into Perspective VMS they are presented with an End User License Agreement (EULA). This message indicates they are about to use a specialized software application. In addition to the EULA which appears only once for each user, organizations may choose to present additional information or policy guidelines such as a blanket Video-Use-Policy or a reminder of an upcoming action related to security management. To assist with this process a Welcome Message utility was designed within the Administration section of Perspective VMS.
To use the tool, a user/administrator may create (or edit) a welcome message. The editable fields include a message title and body text. An "order" may be specified if there are multiple welcome messages designed for viewing by a user or group. There is also an option to "Show Always" which refers to showing this message upon every login access by the user. If the option is not selected than the user will only see the message once.
Welcome messages are intended to be affirmed or denied by the user. Only upon affirmation (acceptance) of the message will the user be grated access to Perspective VMS.
To assign a Welcome Message to a user, the administrator must edit Groups and add the selected message(s) to the group. If multiple messages are assigned to a group than the order in which they appear will be predicated upon the Order value assigned when designing the message.Audit Reports for Custom Logon Messages will display when a user accepted the message.
