Map Item Groups

The Map Item Group, is a container for map items, its purpose is to enable customization by grouping maps containing items that are related to each other. This feature allows the administrator to quickly add new map groups to the system, and to edit or delete existing Map Item Groups.

To create a new Map Item group, from Administration Module navigate to the MAP Item Group container and from the top control bar select “Add”. This will open the Set Map Item Group tab.

Complete the required information:

• Name -enter a unique name for the new group, this grouping relates to the items you want to include in this group.
• Description - allows administrators to provide additional information about the group.
• Available Map Content -This column lists all the available map content items (cameras and buildings) which are available to you for placement on the map.
• To create a Map Item Group, move the desired map content to the Selected Map Items list. Available Map Content can be added/removed to the Selected Map Items list by utilizing the selection controls.
• Save to create the Map Item Group.
