Integration
Integrations
The Integrations Components consists of those components necessary to identify and define connectors, devices, and tags within Perspective VMS. These components are listed on the left side of the Administration Module. Access to these components are controlled by Group Permissions. If able to access, the user will see the following list of components:
- Connectors - Area to define and control integrated components.
- Devices - Area to manage add/edit system integrated devices.
- Analytic Rules - Area for establishing, analytic rules.
- Antennas (RIFD) - Area for RIFD interface devices.
- Tags (RIFD) - Area for Tag RIFD objects.
- Device Collections - Area for grouping system integrated devices.
- Control List – Area to manage whitelist/blacklist for third-party integration used inside of Workflows such as access control and LPR.
Connectors - are used to connect PVMS with the third-party applications (usually through an API).
From the Administration Module expand the Integrations Container and select Connectors. To begin configurations Select “ADD” from the top right, this will initiate the configuration tabs. Pictured below is a sample configuration for adding a connector for Glaxey Control System.
Set Connector Basic Information – complete the required fields marked by *.
Under the Basic Information Tab required fields includes:
Connector type – Use the pull down menu to access available options. (illustrated below) Select from the left column the Manufacture to reveal available products on the right. In our example by Selecting Manufacturer -Galaxy revealed all of the available products for that manufacturer. Connector Name – Insert Product Name. Frequency – as a default will be set to (0). Retention Date – Here you will set the retention period of the third-party events example Door Events or LPR Events.

Under Advanced Settings – required fields includes: API -You will need to provide the IP Address to the third-party software to link the API connector. Software Authentication verification will be required (username and password.
