Jobs
PVMS - Job Settings set job monitoring rules that operate on a schedule to monitor service applications to ensure that they are running correctly. Administrators/Users can define rules for a job on the Set Jobs Setting page.
Within PVMS the “Jobs” monitoring rules can be set up to perform actions such as:
-
Monitor archives storage
-
Camera Health
-
Run System Maintenance checks
-
Emails – set emails to notify users if a certain condition is met so that appropriate action can be taken.
Note - When you schedule a job monitor rule, the rule becomes a scheduled job/alert/email that can be sent for monitoring.
The Job Setting Screen - enabling a job is controlled by activating the “State” - the toggle on/off buttons allow you to select your desired emails. Note: if you select to turn off one or more jobs from the available list, the top indicator button will be greyed out indicating that not all jobs are active. Disabling the job will disable the notifications associated with the job. A safety feature in the form of a popup will ask if you are sure you want to disable the job. Selecting “Edit” – allows you to set the job frequency rules.
Depicted below all services are activated as indicated by the Blue button.
Each Job can have a different run frequency. To set the job frequency rules select “Edit” – make your frequency selections and Save before exiting.
