Interlink

INTERLINK

The Interlink feature within Perspective VMS allows a host site to connect to multiple remote, stand-alone network sites. Through Interlink administrators can view remote events such as: camera events, behavior events, and door events are not possible as well. Remote site viewing features include viewing live video and archived video, viewing maps, live video snapshot, tagging, fast find and using neighboring cameras. For the best experience it is recommended that each stand-alone site be on the same version of Perspective VMS. Note: It is recommended to consult with Perspective VMS Application Engineers prior to configuration of PVMS Interlink.

From the Administration Module’s left side-panel, expand the Interlink Container to view the configuration tabs: Remote Sites, Connected Sites, and Remote Cameras.

Remote Sites

• Click ‘Check’

• If the username and password are authenticated, the remote user will be connected successfully

Connected Sites

Selecting the Connected Sites Container will display all the machines connected to the users’ local site. From the display panel, the user can edit the site IP or disconnect/revoke access of a remote site from the local site. This is a two-way permission-based interaction. The administrator(s) at each site have the ability to revoke the access of remote machines to their respective local site. Access can be edited or deleted using the function keys in the upper right-hand corner of the viewing panel.

To revoke access, simply highlight the connection and click delete. Note: If access is deleted and needs to be restored, you must start from the beginning and add the Remote Site. You must re-authenticate and then add: the remote site, the remote cameras, and remote map

Remote Cameras

Configuring a remote camera though Interlink is limited. Extensive camera configuration should be performed on the local network. Remote Cameras, Remote Maps, access to Remote Streaming will need to be set up manually through PVMS Administration. Note: It is recommended to consult with Perspective VMS Application Engineers via support@lensec.com prior to configuration of PVMS Interlink features.
