Schedules
Schedules are utilized for various components within Perspective VMS such as Workflows, Archiving parameters and Alert notifications. There is a default schedule of "ALWAYS" that is active 24/7/365. Other schedules may be created by users/administrators using a set schedule control.
All schedules are Enabled once created and are flagged Currently Running if the date/time of the database server is within the parameters of the schedule.
To configure the schedule, enter the required information in the configuration dialogue box:
- Name Enter schedule name. Note: the naming structure is important as it will aid users to search and find the schedule.
- Start date: Use the date picker to set the schedule start date.
- Duration: Will set the schedule length, the range options are from 1 second to up to 24 hrs. Use the clock to set the run-time duration length.
- End Date: Use the date picker to select the schedule end date.
- Frequency Details: Free form space to describe the schedule frequency details.
- Frequency Rules: Users can set the schedule frequency rules by configuring the individual tabs for Minute, Hour, Day and Month. Note: Each tab has specific frequency options that can be selected to further define the frequency rules.
First configure the minutes. Select the option “Select Minute (Choose one or many)”. Select “00” to run at the top of the hour.
- Next select the ‘Hour’ tab users can select “Specific Hour (choose one or many)”
Next, select the ‘Day’ tab and select “Specific day of week(choose one or many)”
- Next, select the ‘Month’ tab and select “Specific Month (run on the last day f the month)”
- Click "SAVE" to save
