Layouts
The Layouts control allows users to create custom layouts for viewing cameras in both live and archive views.
Set Layout Basic Information
The initial tab for configuring a custom multi-view layout allows a user/administrator to identify the layout grid and views. There are several required fields on each tab denoted by a red asterisk *.
Fields are defined here below:
- Name: While the name field is not used in a pick-list it is useful in finding the view again in the Layouts grid for future editing. It is recommended to use a naming convention similar to the existing patterns.
- Rows/Columns: The Layout is a grid consisting of Rows and Columns. Arrangement (merging) of the cells is on the Layout View tab.
- Order: The order dictates where this selection will appear within the select layout controls in the Camera and Archive Modules. The higher the value the further down in the list.
- Aspect Ratio: A user/administrator can choose the default aspect ratio this view will appear under. The choices are 4:3, 16:9, 8:3, and 9:16
- Supported View: A user/administrator can choose which modules (Camera Viewer, Archive Viewer, or both) that the layout can be selected from.
- Upload Image Icon: A user can upload a custom icon for referencing the view in the layout selection window.
Update Layout View Information
The Layout View is predicated upon the Rows and Columns selected on the Basic Information Tab. In this illustration below, the user chose 8 rows and 6 columns.
Fields are defined here below:
- Merge: A user/administrator may choose to merge cells to create a larger video container. The user would highlight the cells in blue and then click "Merge"
- Unmerge: The inverse of merging cells, if a user wanted to separate the cells once again they could "unmerge".
- Update: If a change was made by merging or merging cells the user could Update that setting.
- Aspect Ratio: A user/administrator can choose the default aspect ratio for each highlighted cell/container. The choices are 4:3, 16:9, 8:3, and 9:16
